Ode to 13

Today my Sweet daughter Charissa turns 13.

HOLY CRAP!

I suppose, if I were to tell her how I really feel, it would go something like this:

My sweet daughter, your beauty is immeasurable. Both inside and out, you exude the better qualities than I could ever wish to portray. That my dear, makes me a very proud mother.  Charissa, you have the best heart of any person I know. I would like to think that your empathy and loving nature is a virtue that I taught you; but I don't think I can take the credit for that. Your heart is a big, beautiful gift from God. I know he is proud of you.  You are the best daughter that a mother can ask for, and I am blessed everyday because of you! I really can't believe you are 13. WOW!
